Iceland In Winter - Michelle Pullen Photography
Oxarafoss Sunset

Iceland is not called the land of Fire & Ice without reason!  I visited on two occasions, both in Winter, both times worth the freezing cold and lack of sleep to capture sunrises, sunsets and  dancing Aurora Borealis. It is magical, and terrifyingly beautiful.  The force of sub-zero winds steal your breath, the sights of frozen waterfalls capture your heart.  Fiery sunsets over volcanic black fissures evoke a sense of awe that warms the imagination.  The most eerie, almost un-earthly experience is, of course, watching the dancing Northern Lights.  It is hard to explain how they draw something out of the onlooker which causes them to dance, laugh and even cry.

Here is Iceland In Winter......
